Whack-A-Soul
Defeat Painsmith Raznal after activating the Burning Gibbets in the Sanctum of Domination on Normal difficulty or higher.
Whack-A-Soul is a 10-point achievement earned by defeating Painsmith Raznal in the Sanctum of Domination on Normal difficulty or higher after activating the Burning Gibbets lever before the fight.
Click the Lever First
After descending the stairs and before stepping onto Painsmith Raznal's platform, click the lever on the left pillar to raise the Burning Gibbets. The achievement will not progress if you skip this step.
Engage Painsmith Raznal
Enter combat with Painsmith Raznal. Once the fight begins, caged Burning Gibbets containing Burning Souls will rise from the fire periodically at the corners of the platform.
Kill Burning Souls Quickly
Destroy each Burning Soul as it rises — they have around 70, 000 health — while continuing to damage Painsmith Raznal. Each Burning Soul casts Terrifying Shriek, which fears all players for 4 seconds, so interrupt it if it is close to going off and kill the souls before they accumulate.
Tips
This fight is soloable at max level in Dragonflight or later gear, making the achievement significantly easier with higher item level.
Swing the camera around periodically to spot newly risen Burning Gibbets at the corners of the platform before they cast Terrifying Shriek. See the video guide for a full walkthrough.
