Minions of the Cold Dark
Defeat all of the Tormentors of Torghast special encounters in The Maw.
Minions of the Cold Dark is a 15-point achievement earned by defeating all of the Tormentors of Torghast special encounters, which are recurring world bosses that spawn in The Maw every two hours.
Track the Event Timer
The Tormentors of Torghast event spawns in The Maw on a two-hour cycle, starting at 12/2/4/6/8/10 PST (1/3/5/7/9/11 EST). Arrive in The Maw before the event begins so you are ready when the trash phase starts.
Clear Trash, Then Boss
Each event begins with a trash farming phase and concludes with a boss spawn. You must defeat each unique Tormentor boss to count it toward the achievement.
Repeat Each Weekly Reset
A different Tormentor may appear each cycle. Return across multiple weeks and event windows until every unique Tormentor encounter has been defeated, completing all criteria for Minions of the Cold Dark.
Tips
Your first Tormentor kill each week awards a
Tormentor's Cache containing equipment, conduits, currencies, and a chance at the 
Chain of Bahmethra mount.Killing each Tormentor also contributes 5% progress toward the Shaping Fate weekly quest, so completing the event serves double duty.
