Survive Sundancer's wrath and earn the right to challenge him to a trial by combat.
In the Hot Seat requires you to survive Sundancer's wrath in Bastion, earned by gliding onto the rare and interacting with it under the effect of Sunrider's Blessing.
Obtain a Skystrider Glider
You need a 
Skystrider Glider to reach Sundancer. The faster option is to purchase one from the Auction House. The longer option requires joining the Kyrian Covenant, upgrading the Trial of Ascension scenario to tier 4, completing the scenario until Kalisthene (Wisdom) unlocks, and defeating Kalisthene to receive the 
Blueprint: Skystrider Glider, which lets you craft one.
Get Sunrider's Blessing
Travel to the Ancient Memorial in Bastion and click it to receive the Sunrider's Blessing buff, which is required to interact with Sundancer.
Glide onto Sundancer
Make your way to the jump point and wait for Sundancer to be active, then use your Skystrider Glider to glide down onto the rare and survive its wrath to earn the achievement.
