Handling His Henchmen
Complete 5 of the following special encounters in The Maw.
Handling His Henchmen is a 5-point achievement earned by defeating 5 of the special bonus encounter bosses found throughout The Maw.
Locate the Bonus Bosses
There are 19 bonus bosses across The Maw, and you only need to defeat 5 to complete the achievement. Each boss is marked with a small skull icon on the map, and a bonus quest appears automatically when you approach one.
Defeat Drifting Sorrow
Find and defeat Drifting Sorrow at 33.2, 21.2 in the Planes of Torment subzone of The Maw. Defeating it rewards Stygia and has a rare chance to drop Maw lore used for Deciphering Death's Intentions.
Defeat Dartanos
Find and defeat Dartanos at 26.0, 15.0 in The Tremaculum subzone of The Maw. This boss also rewards Stygia and has the same rare lore drop.
Defeat Razkazzar
Find and defeat Razkazzar at 26.8, 37.2 in the Calcis subzone of The Maw. Defeating this boss also rewards Stygia along with a rare chance at the Maw lore drop.
Track Weekly Reset Timing
These bonus quests reset alongside world quests, so if you cannot defeat 5 bosses in one session due to The Jailer's stacking debuff becoming lethal at higher tiers, additional bosses become available again after the weekly reset.
Tips
The Jailer's debuff stacks as you spend time in The Maw, and reaching tier 5 will kill you, meaning defeating all 19 bosses in a single session is not feasible — spread kills across multiple sessions or resets.
Bonus boss quests reset with world quests, giving you additional attempts each reset cycle if needed.
