Feed the Beast
Defeat the Hungering Destroyer after draining all of the large anima canisters with Volatile Ejection in Castle Nathria on Normal difficulty or higher.
Feed the Beast requires you to defeat the Hungering Destroyer in Castle Nathria on Normal difficulty or higher after destroying all six large anima canisters using Volatile Ejection.
Enter on Normal Difficulty
Enter Castle Nathria and set the difficulty to Normal or higher, then make your way to the Hungering Destroyer.
Pull Boss to Center
Pull the Hungering Destroyer and move him toward the center of the room — there are three red anima canisters along each side wall, six total.
Destroy Canisters with Volatile Ejection
Position yourself between a canister and the boss so that when Volatile Ejection fires, the beam hits the canister; each canister has a red diamond on its front face — line the boss up with that and stand beneath it. A canister may require more than one hit to shatter, so take it slow and work through one side at a time.
Confirm All Six Destroyed
Once all six canisters are destroyed, the achievement tracker will change from red to white — then kill the Hungering Destroyer to complete the achievement.
Tips
There is no time limit on destroying the canisters, so the boss can be repositioned between Consume casts to reach the other side's canisters safely.
If surviving the fight is difficult at lower gear levels, Fleshcraft from the Necrolord covenant is still usable in Shadowlands zones and provides a large percentage-based absorb shield that bypasses the boss's healing reduction.
