Going Viral

Enter Plaguefall on Mythic difficulty. Track the Going Viral achievement so you can monitor progress — the text will appear red until the requirements are met, then turn white.

Clear every trash mob in the Doctor Ickus boss room without pulling Doctor Ickus himself.

Find the Volatile Substance bottle on the desk near the boss room. Pick it up — you will have 10 seconds to throw it into one of the four green cauldrons on the platforms before it expires.

Run to any of the four green cauldrons and use the special ability granted by the Volatile Substance to pour it in. The cauldron will turn purple. Picking up the vial applies a debuff called Volatile Coating, which lasts 59 seconds and prevents you from carrying the Volatile Substance again during that time.

After depositing the Volatile Substance, it respawns at the same cauldron you just filled. The Volatile Substance will despawn approximately 66 seconds after being deposited, giving you a 6–7 second window after your Volatile Coating debuff expires to pick it up and carry it to the next cauldron.

Repeat the pickup-and-deposit process until all four cauldrons are purple. This takes approximately 4 and a half minutes total. If you fail to deposit the Volatile Substance in time, reset the boss encounter and start over.

Once all four cauldrons are purple, pull Doctor Ickus. The purple cauldrons will produce Volatile Plague Bombs during the fight. Destroy 2 Volatile Plague Bombs during the encounter, then kill Doctor Ickus to complete Going Viral. The achievement tracker will turn white once 2 Volatile Plague Bombs have been destroyed.
