Residue Evil
Defeat Executor Tarvold after slaying 8 Forlorn Captives with the effects of Residue in Sanguine Depths on Mythic difficulty.
Residue Evil is a 10-point Mythic difficulty achievement earned in Sanguine Depths by defeating Executor Tarvold after using the Residue from Fleeting Manifestation explosions to kill 8 Forlorn Captives in their cells before finishing the boss.
Set Mythic Difficulty
Enter Sanguine Depths on Mythic difficulty. The achievement tracker will display in red and turn white once all 8 Forlorn Captives have been killed.
Clear All Ring Trash
Clear all trash mobs across the entire circular ring surrounding Executor Tarvold. There are 4 cells containing Forlorn Captives — 2 groups of 2 on each side of the boss — so mark each cell with a raid marker for easy reference during the fight.
Pull Boss, Manage Add
Pull Executor Tarvold. He will spawn an add called Fleeting Manifestation — do not deal damage to it. Kite or root the Fleeting Manifestation directly outside a cell door holding Forlorn Captives. The add self-destructs at 100 energy, leaving a Residue pool on the ground that seeps into the cell and kills the captives inside.
Repeat for All 4 Cells
Repeat the process for each of the 4 cells until all 8 Forlorn Captives are dead and the achievement tracker turns white. Rooting the Fleeting Manifestation outside the cell and moving the boss away prevents most of the damage from the Residue pool on the ground.
Kill Executor Tarvold
Once the achievement is satisfied and the tracker turns white, kill Executor Tarvord to complete the encounter and earn Residue Evil.
Tips
The Residue pool on the ground deals up to 1 million damage, so position the Fleeting Manifestation close to the cell gate and move away rather than standing in the pool.
If Fleeting Manifestation dies before reaching full energy, the Residue pool may not be large enough to kill the Forlorn Captives — let it self-destruct at 100 energy or kill it above 80 energy.
