Breaking Bad
Defeat Echelon after shattering 18 or more Undying Stonefiends at one time in the Halls of Atonement on Mythic difficulty.
Breaking Bad is a 10-point achievement earned by defeating Echelon in the Halls of Atonement on Mythic difficulty after shattering 18 or more Undying Stonefiends simultaneously using Stone Shattering Leap.
Enter on Mythic Difficulty
Set the Halls of Atonement to Mythic difficulty and engage Echelon. The achievement can be tracked in your achievement log and will turn from red to white once the 18-shatter condition is satisfied.
Let Stonefiends Accumulate
Echelon periodically casts Stone Call, summoning 6 Undying Stonefiends at a time. Do not DPS each wave immediately — wait for the adds to reach melee range to stack them, then AoE them down without killing Echelon. After being reduced to 1 health, they go inactive but will respawn after roughly 30 seconds if not shattered, so delay killing each wave by about 10–15 seconds to keep the waves synchronized.
Avoid Stone Shattering Leap Early
Each time Echelon casts Stone Shattering Leap (indicated by a brown swirl targeting a player), move away from the grouped Stonefiends so the leap does not shatter them prematurely. Hitting them with the leap at different health values will desync the group and make the final shatter harder to execute.
Build Up Three or Four Waves
Repeat the process of grouping, AoE killing, and avoiding Stone Shattering Leap through at least 3 full waves — giving you 18 inactive Stonefiends. Running a fourth wave (24 adds) is recommended as a safety buffer.
Shatter 18 Stonefiends at Once
Once 18 or more Undying Stonefiends are in their inactive stone forms and grouped tightly together, stand among them when Echelon casts Stone Shattering Leap so the leap shatters all 18 simultaneously. After this, kill Echelon to complete the achievement.
Tips
Running a fourth wave of Stonefiends (24 total) provides a safety buffer in case any adds despawn or are accidentally shattered early.
Waiting 10–15 seconds before killing each incoming wave of Stonefiends keeps all three waves on the same respawn timer, making it easier to have 18 shatterable adds ready at the same moment.
