Temper Tantrum
Defeat Drest'agath in Ny'alotha, the Waking City after triggering Throes of Agony twice within 60 seconds on Normal difficulty or higher.
Temper Tantrum requires defeating Drest'agath in Ny'alotha, the Waking City after triggering Throes of Agony twice within 60 seconds on Normal difficulty or higher.
Enter on Normal Difficulty
Enter Ny'alotha, the Waking City on Normal difficulty and engage Drest'agath. Avoid dealing significant damage to the boss at the start of the fight.
Kill Opening Two Tentacles
Kill the two tentacles that spawn at the beginning of the fight. Each tentacle killed grants Drest'agath 20 Agony, so killing 5 tentacles total triggers one Throes of Agony cast.
Wait for More Tentacles
After killing the first two tentacles, four more will spawn. Wait until the room has a full set of tentacles up before proceeding — do not kill them yet.
Designate One Tentacle
Mark one tentacle to not kill yet, but reduce it to very low health. Kill the other three tentacles from the second group to push Drest'agath into his first Throes of Agony.
Trigger Second Throes of Agony
Once the first Throes of Agony begins, immediately kill the designated low-health tentacle — four more tentacles will spawn. Use Heroism or Bloodlust and burn down all remaining tentacles within the 60-second window to trigger the second Throes of Agony.
Stand in Void Zones, Nuke Boss
After meeting the achievement condition, kill a tentacle and stand in the small void zone it leaves on the ground — this is required to deal damage to Drest'agath, as otherwise all damage is healed. Then nuke the boss to finish the fight.
Tips
Melee players will be periodically death gripped by Drest'agath while moving to kill tentacles — bleeds and damage over time effects help since they continue ticking between grips.
