Defeat the Hivemind in Ny'alotha, the Waking City after defeating 3 Evolved Specimen on Normal difficulty or higher.

Realizing Your Potential is a 10-point achievement earned by defeating the Hivemind in Ny'alotha, the Waking City after killing 3 Evolved Specimen during the fight on Normal difficulty or higher.

1

Set Difficulty to Normal

Enter Ny'alotha, the Waking City on Normal difficulty or higher. This achievement can be completed solo at max level.

2

Create a Targeting Macro

Create a macro with the following text to locate the Promising Specimen throughout the raid: /tar promis then /run SetRaidTarget("target", 8) then /cleartarget then /stopmacro then /ping [@target]. This marks each Promising Specimen with a blue square when you are near one.

3

Find Three Promising Specimen

Locate all three Promising Specimen before pulling Tek'ris. They appear slightly stealthed and resemble maggots but can be targeted with your macro. They are found in three areas: the hallway corridor just before the Hivemind boss room, the hallway leading to Xanesh, and along the top outer edge of the large maw area near the tentacles at the entrance leading toward Sha'dur. The maw specimen covers the most ground and can be harder to locate.

4

Click Each Specimen for Buff

Click each Promising Specimen to receive a 2-hour buff. There are three distinct buffs, one from each Specimen. All three buffs can be held by a single player — you do not need three separate people. Do not die before pulling the boss, as the buffs are lost on death.

5

Pull Tek'ris to Begin Fight

Once all three buffs are active, head to the Hivemind room and pull Tek'ris to begin the encounter.

6

Kill Evolved Specimen Then Boss

During the fight, three Evolved Specimen will spawn from the players holding the buffs. Kill all three Evolved Specimen, then defeat the Hivemind to complete the achievement.

Tips

  • The Promising Specimen respawn, so if you miss one on a previous run you can find them again in the same locations.

  • The Promising Specimen are not detectable by Hunter tracking, so rely on the targeting macro to locate them.
