Demonstrate complete mastery in each of Scrollsage Nola's calligraphy lessons by never deviating from the lines during the world quest, "Calligraphy."

Master Calligrapher is a 10-point achievement earned by perfectly tracing each of Scrollsage Nola's calligraphy patterns — circle, square, and triangle — without deviating from the lines during the world quest Calligraphy.

1

Convert to Raid Group

Before starting, create a custom group and convert it to a raid group. While in a raid group, completing the patterns grants achievement credit without finishing the world quest, allowing you to retry as many times as needed. Once you earn the achievement, leave the group and complete the world quest normally.

2

Place Markers Before Starting

Open the group interface and use the markers found in the upper left corner to mark key points on each shape before the glowing trail fades, which disappears after 2–3 seconds. For the square and triangle, place markers at each corner or edge angle. For the circle, place markers at the north, east, and west points, then add markers at the north-east, north-west, south-east, and south-west positions to approximate a compass rose around the circle.

3

Trace Each Shape Correctly

As soon as Scrollsage Nola's dialogue prompt appears and you click 'I am ready,' immediately begin moving forward. For the circle, use normal running speed — not a mount — and continuously move your mouse in a slow circular motion to avoid producing straight octagon-like edges; the circle requires near-perfect curvature. When a pattern is traced correctly, Scrollsage Nola will say 'Splendid job! You know, if this adventuring business doesn't work out, you'd make an excellent school teacher,' confirming that attempt counts toward the achievement.

Tips

  • You can receive achievement credit for individual patterns across separate attempts — completing the quest without perfect accuracy does not lock you out, so retry until each shape is credited.

  • Do not complete the world quest before earning the achievement, as finishing it prevents further attempts on that quest iteration.
