Azerfighter
Kill 5 players of the opposite faction while you are under the effects of an Unstable Azerite Flare.
Azerfighter requires you to kill 5 players of the opposite faction while holding the Unstable Azerite Flare buff, which is found at specific Faction Assault world quest locations in Nazmir and Stormsong Valley.
Find an Active Assault
This achievement can only be progressed during a Faction Assault in Nazmir or Stormsong Valley. The two eligible world quests are the Skirmish at the Span in Nazmir and Furious Fracas in Stormsong Valley. Not every invasion includes these world quests, so check before traveling.
Loot the Azerite Orb
In Nazmir, pick up the glowing blue-gold Azerite orb at 79.2, 19.4. In Stormsong Valley, the orb spawns at the Furious Fracas world quest area at 78, 22, with an additional spawn point at 45, 55. The buff lasts 30 minutes and only one player can hold it at a time. If the holder is killed, the orb drops at their location for another player to loot.
Kill 5 Opposite Faction Players
With the buff active, kill 5 players of the opposite faction. The buff grants a 200% damage and healing increase but applies a small ticking damage-over-time effect to the holder. Progress is cumulative — you do not need all 5 kills in a single session, and your counter does not reset if you die or lose the buff.
Avoid Completing the World Quest
If you complete the world quest while holding the buff, the buff is immediately removed. To prevent accidentally finishing the quest by killing NPCs near players, join a raid group — this converts your status so NPC kills no longer credit the world quest, allowing you to hold the buff safely while fighting players.
Tips
Joining a raid group prevents NPC kills from counting toward the world quest, so you can fight freely near soldiers without losing the buff.
The kill counter is cumulative across multiple assaults and buff sessions, so there is no need to get all 5 kills in one go.
