Never let Dread Captain Lockwood leap away while she has the evasive aura before defeating her in the Siege of Boralus on Mythic difficulty.
Stand by Me requires you to never let Dread Captain Lockwood leap away while she has her evasive aura, then defeat her on Mythic difficulty in the Siege of Boralus.
Track the Achievement
Before pulling Dread Captain Lockwood, track the Stand by Me achievement so you can monitor its status. If the tracker turns red, wipe immediately — if it is already red from a previous attempt, reset the boss to turn it white again before re-pulling.
Apply a Slow on Pull
When you pull Dread Captain Lockwood, keep a snare or root on her at all times to prevent her from using Evasive — Warrior Hamstring is confirmed to work for this.
Handle the Boat Phase
When Dread Captain Lockwood jumps to the boat, immediately kill the Cannoneer and use the Cannoneer's cannon to interrupt her before she fires her Barrage — you have approximately 10 seconds before the Dread Volley fires, so act immediately, as failing to interrupt it will fail the achievement regardless of whether she was rooted during the transition.
Repeat and Defeat
Repeat the cannon interrupt on the second boat phase, then kill Dread Captain Lockwood to complete the achievement. Running 4 DPS and 1 tank removes the need for a healer and simplifies the execution, and if your group is sufficiently overgeared, using Bloodlust and nuking her down also works.
Tips
If the achievement tracker turns red at any point, wipe immediately rather than continuing — completing the kill with a red tracker will not award the achievement.
