To Hellfire and Back is a 10-point achievement earned by completing the Hellfire Peninsula storylines for the Horde.

Complete Thrallmar Quest Chains

Work through the quests in and around Thrallmar, including all solo quests leading into or starting in Hellfire Peninsula.

Visit the Northwest Cave

Head to the cave northwest of Thrallmar where a goblin outside offers two quests — this location is easy to miss since no quests directly lead there.

Find the Crimson Crystal Shard

Track down the Crimson Crystal Shard, which drops from an elite and starts a quest chain; this item-started chain is easy to overlook and is a common reason players fall short of the required quest count.

Farm Worms for Eroded Leather Case

If you are still short on quests, kill Tunneler and Marauding Crust Burster worms until one drops the Eroded Leather Case, which starts the Missing Missive quest and can be the final quest needed to complete the achievement.

Finish With Outland Sucks!

The quest Outland Sucks!, given by an NPC north of Thrallmar, has been the 90th and final quest for some players completing this achievement.

Tips

  • If you are close to the required quest count, verify you have completed the chain starting from the Crimson Crystal Shard, as it requires a drop from an elite and is one of the most commonly missed chains in the zone.

  • The Eroded Leather Case only drops from Tunneler and Marauding Crust Burster worms, so target those specifically if you need the Missing Missive quest.
