The Void Lies Sleeping
Defeat Lord Stormsong without coming into contact with any Awoken Void in Shrine of the Storm on Mythic difficulty.
The Void Lies Sleeping is a 10-point Mythic difficulty achievement earned by defeating Lord Stormsong in Shrine of the Storm without touching any Awoken Void orbs during the encounter.
Enter on Mythic Difficulty
Set Shrine of the Storm to Mythic difficulty and enter the dungeon solo at level 70 or above, then make your way to Lord Stormsong.
Understand the Awoken Void Mechanic
Throughout the fight, Lord Stormsong casts Awaken the Void, which spawns one Awoken Void orb per player near their location. Each orb chases players and attempts to explode on contact, stunning and dealing damage while failing the achievement.
Move Clockwise to Dodge Orbs
Stack tightly on the boss and move as a group clockwise around the room each time orbs spawn. The Awoken Void orbs move slowly enough that players can outpace them without difficulty.
Handle Mind-Controlled Players
If a player becomes mind-controlled, damage them to 50% health before their cast finishes to break the mind control. While the cast is channeling, the mind-controlled player retains full control of their character and must also dodge orbs. If confident in burst damage, nuke Lord Stormsong down immediately on pull before managing the mind control separately.
Defeat Lord Stormsong
Kill Lord Stormsong while ensuring no player has made contact with any Awoken Void orb during the entire encounter to complete the achievement.
