Allied Races: Dark Iron Dwarf
Earn the allegiance of the Dark Iron dwarves and welcome them into the Alliance.
Allied Races: Dark Iron Dwarf requires completing the Ready for War achievement and reaching Exalted with the 7th Legion before heading to the Stormwind Embassy to begin a quest chain through Blackrock Mountain, The MOTHERLODE dungeon, the Molten Core, and the Firelands.
Reach Exalted with 7th Legion
Earn Exalted reputation with the 7th Legion. This is a prerequisite before the quest chain at the Stormwind Embassy becomes available.
Complete Ready for War
Complete the Ready for War achievement. If you have already completed the Ready for War achievement on a Horde character, it carries over and you do not need to repeat it on an Alliance character.
Visit Stormwind Embassy
Travel to the Stormwind Embassy and click on the Dark Iron Dwarf banner to pick up the quest chain. The banner will confirm your prerequisites are met.
Complete Blackrock Mountain Scenario
Follow the quest chain to Blackrock Mountain and complete the scenario there.
Run The MOTHERLODE Dungeon
Enter and complete The MOTHERLODE dungeon on any difficulty. This step is required as part of the quest chain and must not be skipped.
Return to Stormwind Embassy
Head back to the Stormwind Embassy to hand in the quest before the chain continues.
Complete the Molten Core Quest
You will be sent to the Molten Core. Ride the tank by spamming button 1 and drive into the entrance where Ragnaros normally resides. You will be dismounted from the tank, so fight your way to the end and defeat Gezzroc the Keeper. After the fight, a mole machine returns you to Stormwind.
Hand In and Enter Firelands
Hand in the quest in Stormwind, then you will be transported to the Firelands. Follow the path straight over the bridge, defeating enemies along the way to complete this final stage of the quest chain.
Unlock Dark Iron Dwarf Race
After completing all quest chain steps, the Dark Iron Dwarf Allied Race will be unlocked, allowing you to create a Dark Iron Dwarf character on your account.
