Nine Lives
Defeat the Feral Defender and then defeat Auriaya in Ulduar.
Nine Lives requires you to defeat the Feral Defender nine times during the Auriaya encounter in Ulduar, then kill Auriaya herself.
Enter Ulduar and engage Auriaya
Enter Ulduar and locate Auriaya. Do not deal damage to Auriaya or her Sanctum Sentries — wait for her to cast Activate Feral Defender, which summons the Feral Defender.
Kill the Feral Defender nine times
Once the Feral Defender is summoned, focus all damage on it and kill it. It will respawn up to eight additional times for a total of nine kills — you can track progress by counting the black pools left on the ground each time it dies, or by watching its Feral Essence buff, which shows remaining lives. After the ninth kill it will no longer respawn.
Kill Auriaya to complete
After the Feral Defender has been killed nine times and will no longer respawn, defeat Auriaya to earn the Nine Lives achievement.
Tips
If you want to earn Crazy Cat Lady at the same time, avoid killing the Sanctum Sentries that patrol with Auriaya — the Feral Defender is a separate summon and killing it does not interfere with that achievement.
Be aware that killing the Sanctum Sentries makes Auriaya stronger, so if you are not at max level it may be worth leaving them alive regardless.
