Allied Races: Highmountain Tauren
Earn the allegiance of the Highmountain tauren and welcome them into the Horde.
Allied Races: Highmountain Tauren is a 10-point achievement that unlocks the Highmountain Tauren as a playable Horde race by meeting faction, achievement, and quest requirements.
Meet Level Requirement
As of patch 10.1.5, you need a level 40 character on your account to unlock Allied Races. The character used for the recruitment scenario must be a level 40 or higher Horde character, since Highmountain Tauren are recruited through the Horde.
Reach Exalted with Highmountain Tribe
Earn Exalted reputation with the Highmountain Tribe. This reputation can be earned on any character on your account, as the requirement counts account-wide.
Complete Ain't No Mountain High Enough
Complete the achievement Ain't No Mountain High Enough, which is required alongside Exalted reputation before you can begin the recruitment quest chain. This achievement progress counts account-wide.
Travel to Orgrimmar
Head to Orgrimmar and begin the Call for Allies quest chain. Speak with Baine Bloodhoof and Lady Liadrin, or interact with the two flags nearby, then speak with Lady Sylvanas Windrunner at 37.9, 80.9 in Orgrimmar to select the Highmountain Tauren as your chosen Allied Race.
Complete the Recruitment Scenario
Follow the recruitment quest chain starting from Lady Liadrin. You will travel to Suramar, where Lady Liadrin can be found at 65.9, 63.7 in Suramar. Complete the scenario to earn the allegiance of the Highmountain Tauren and unlock the 
Highmountain Thunderhoof alongside the race.
Tips
The Exalted reputation and achievement requirements count account-wide, so you can complete them on any character regardless of faction before doing the recruitment on your Horde character.
The recruitment scenario itself must be completed on a Horde character, not an Alliance character.
