Allied Races: Void Elf
Earn the allegiance of the void elves and welcome them into the Alliance.
Allied Races: Void Elf is an achievement that unlocks the Void Elf playable race for the Alliance by completing a short quest chain tied to reputation and expansion requirements.
Meet the Level Requirement
You need at least one level 40 character on your account to begin unlocking Allied Races. As of patch 10.1.5, this is the only hard gating requirement remaining.
Reach Exalted and Complete Prerequisite
You must be Exalted with the required faction and have completed the quest chain 'You Are Now Prepared!' before the recruitment quest becomes available. These reputation and achievement requirements are account-wide, so they can be completed on any character regardless of faction.
Own Battle for Azeroth
Purchase Battle for Azeroth. Upon logging in after the purchase, you will automatically receive the starting quest 'The Call for Allies' to begin the Void Elf recruitment chain.
Travel to Stormwind
Fly to Stormwind and speak with Anduin Wrynn at 52.1, 13.4 in Stormwind to pick up 'The Call for Allies'. You must be on a level 110 or higher Alliance character for this step.
Complete A Choice of Allies
After receiving 'The Call for Allies', speak with Alleria Windrunner and High Exarch Turalyon, or click the two flags nearby, then return to Anduin Wrynn at 52.1, 13.4 in Stormwind and select the Void Elves as your chosen race to begin their recruitment scenario.
Complete the Void Elf Quest Chain
Follow the Void Elf story through The Ghostlands: wait for the dialogue, use the void rift, visit the marked quest areas to read Umbric's Notes, and continue through the Sanctum of the Moon. Finishing the full chain rewards the Allied Races: Void Elf achievement, unlocks the Void Elf race, and grants the 
Starcursed Voidstrider mount.
Tips
The reputation and 'You Are Now Prepared!' achievement requirements are account-wide, so you can earn them on a Horde character and then complete the recruitment scenario on your Alliance character.
