Together We Stand
Defeat Varimathras in Antorus, the Burning Throne on Normal difficulty or higher without triggering Alone in the Darkness.
Together We Stand requires defeating Varimathras in Antorus, the Burning Throne on Normal difficulty or higher without any player being more than 8 yards away from another player at any point during the fight.
Enter Antorus and Position
Enter Antorus, the Burning Throne and position the entire raid with their backs to one of the upper corners of Varimathras's room. Place raid markers spaced out across that corner area so tanks, melee, and ranged all have movement reference points while staying within 8 yards of another player.
Handle Dark Fissures as a Group
When Dark Fissures spawn underneath the raid, move together as a tight group to another marker on the other side of Varimathras, keeping everyone within 8 yards of at least one other player at all times.
Manage Marked Prey Knockback
Marked Prey causes Varimathras to shoot a lance that knocks back the first player it hits — a mobile player such as a Rogue, Windwalker Monk, Warrior, or Demon Hunter should soak this hit and immediately close the gap back to the group using a mobility ability to avoid triggering Alone in the Darkness.
Solo Option: Kill Quickly
If attempting this solo, use maximum burst damage and kill Varimathras before his first cast of Alone in the Darkness, which is achievable in roughly 12 seconds or less.
Tips
This achievement is straightforward on Normal difficulty but becomes significantly harder on Heroic, where Necrotic Embrace spreads in a 10-yard range and conflicts directly with the 8-yard stacking requirement.
