Worm-monger
Defeat Garothi Worldbreaker in Antorus, the Burning Throne after decimating 16 Blightscale Worms on Normal difficulty or higher.
Worm-monger requires you to defeat Garothi Worldbreaker in Antorus, the Burning Throne after using the Decimation mechanic to decimate 16 Blightscale Worms on Normal difficulty or higher.
Set Difficulty to Normal
Enter Antorus, the Burning Throne on Normal difficulty or higher. The achievement does not progress on Raid Finder.
Track the Achievement
Enable achievement tracking for Worm-monger before the fight begins. The tracked criteria text starts red and turns white once all 16 worms have been decimated — do not kill the boss until it turns white.
Hold DPS on Boss
Engage Garothi Worldbreaker but deal minimal damage to keep him alive long enough to spawn sufficient Decimation casts. Be careful not to push him to his transition phases too early, as destroying one of his weapons during a transition removes Decimation from the fight entirely.
Walk Decimation onto Worms
When Garothi casts Decimation on you, locate the Blightscale Worms that appear on the ground — they appear in red, brown, or purple and are not targetable. Move your Decimation void zone directly on top of a worm before it expires to count it as decimated. The worm may appear to burrow into the ground, but the kill still registers.
Avoid Fel Barrage Knockback
Fel Barrage does not count toward worm kills and can knock you away from worm spawn locations. Reposition during Fel Barrage toward areas where worms commonly appear so you are in place when Decimation follows immediately after.
Kill Boss After Completion
Once the achievement tracker turns white confirming 16 worms have been decimated, finish off Garothi Worldbreaker to receive Worm-monger. At 20% health he enters his second transition, so if the achievement is not yet complete, hold DPS just above that threshold.
Tips
Worms tend to spawn at similar locations each Decimation cast — learn these spots early and pre-position there during Fel Barrage to maximize the number of worms you can decimate per cast.
If you use an immunity ability to skip the Decimation stun, the void zone is placed immediately at your feet, so stand on a worm before activating it.
