Fisherfriend of the Isles
Become Best Friends with the Fishing Masters of the Broken Isles.
Fisherfriend of the Isles requires you to reach Best Friend status with all six Fishing Masters scattered across the Broken Isles zones.
Understand the Reputation System
Each Fisherfriend has six friendship tiers: Stranger, Pal, Buddy, Friend, Good Friend, and Best Friend. Each tier requires 8,400 reputation, meaning you need 42,000 total reputation per Fisherfriend, earned by turning in 560 of that Fisherfriend's unique coin item at 75 reputation each. This achievement is NOT account-wide, so every character that wants the reward must grind all six reputations independently.
Locate All Six Fisherfriends
The six Fisherfriends rotate on a daily schedule. Find Akule Riverhorn at 32.4, 41.8 in Highmountain near Thunder Totem. Find Sha'leth at 50.71, 49.34 in Suramar. Find Impus at 33.7, 49.8 on the Broken Shore. Find Ilyssia of the Waters at 43.21, 40.55 in Azsuna. Find Keeper Raynae at 53.41, 72.86 in Val'sharah near Lorlathil. Find Corbyn at 90.69, 10.87 in Stormheim near Shield's Rest.
Earn the Something's Fishy Buff
You must stand close enough to the active Fisherfriend to receive their Something's Fishy buff before you can fish up their unique coin or boss-summoning items. Without this buff, you will not catch the turn-in items needed for reputation.
Fish, Summon Bosses, and Turn In
While the Something's Fishy buff is active, fish up the Fisherfriend's unique coin items — each catch yields 1–2 coins normally, or 3–4 coins while a summoned boss buff is active. Summoned bosses function similarly to the elemental mechanic and make every catch award the turn-in item while the buff lasts. You can hold a maximum of 100 coin items at one time, so turn them in to the Fisherfriend before reaching that cap. Note that Fisherfriends will accept turn-ins even after you reach Best Friend status, so stop turning in once you hit Best Friend to avoid wasting coins.
Handle Sha'leth Differently
Sha'leth at 50.71, 49.34 in Suramar works differently from the other five Fisherfriends. The lake next to her contains a moving pool, so watch for its position when fishing for her turn-in items.
Reach Best Friend and Claim Reward
Once you have reached Best Friend status with all six Fisherfriends, the achievement completes and awards the
Underlight Emerald. Each Fisherfriend also has two specific purchasable items available after reaching Best Friend, requiring a grand total of 710 turn-in coins per Fisherfriend to reach Best Friend and buy both items.
Tips
Each Fisherfriend operates on a daily rotation, so if a specific Fisherfriend is not active at their location that day, check back after the daily reset.
Farming with other players near an active boss summon is more efficient, as the boss buff causes every catch to yield the turn-in coin, and having more players fighting the boss does not reduce per-player efficiency.
