Fel Turkey!
Destroy 30 Infernal Spikes with Shattering Stars and then defeat Goroth in Tomb of Sargeras on Normal difficulty or higher.
Fel Turkey! is a 10-point achievement earned by destroying 30 Infernal Spikes with Shattering Star and then defeating Goroth in Tomb of Sargeras on Normal difficulty or higher.
Enter Tomb of Sargeras
Set the instance to Normal difficulty or higher and enter Tomb of Sargeras. Enable the achievement tracker so you can monitor progress, which displays in red and turns white once 30 Infernal Spikes have been destroyed.
Position Goroth Correctly
Pull Goroth and face him toward the wall where he spawned, keeping him stationary. If using a pet class, assign aggro to your pet and set the pet to passive after the pull so Goroth does not move and remains aligned with the Infernal Spikes.
Line Up Infernal Spikes
Stay away from Infernal Spikes as they spawn so they are not destroyed prematurely. Position yourself so that spikes form a straight line between you and Goroth, making it easier for the Shattering Star beam to hit multiple spikes in one pass.
Destroy Spikes with Shattering Star
When Shattering Star targets you, move behind the line of Infernal Spikes so the star travels through them and destroys them. Early in the fight Goroth fires one star per cast, but later in the fight he fires two stars per cast, increasing the number of spikes you can destroy per round.
Reach 30 Destroyed Spikes
Repeat the spike-lining and Shattering Star process until 30 Infernal Spikes have been destroyed and the achievement tracker turns white. Count manually as a backup since the tracker can sometimes fail to update visually, and destroy 32 spikes if you want a safe buffer.
Defeat Goroth
Once the achievement tracker confirms 30 destroyed spikes, kill Goroth to complete Fel Turkey! and earn the achievement.
Tips
Solo completion is unreliable at item level 488 or below because Goroth berserks before 30 spikes can be destroyed — a pet class at level 70 or higher, or bringing a second player, provides enough spike spawns to reach 30.
