A Challenging Look
Complete an artifact challenge quest line and unlock a new appearance for your artifact weapon.
A Challenging Look requires completing an artifact challenge quest line through the Mage Tower to unlock a new appearance for your artifact weapon, and is no longer obtainable as of patch 8.0.
Meet the Prerequisites
You must be level 110, have 35 Artifact Traits, and have completed the Empowered Trait questline before attempting the challenge.
Speak with War Councilor Victoria
War Councilor Victoria stands just outside the Mage Tower. Speak with her to start the challenge quest. Your first attempt each day is free; additional attempts on the same day cost 100 Nethershards.
Unlock Additional Tints
After unlocking the base challenge appearance, three more tints become available: defeat Heroic Kil'jaeden while wearing the challenge appearance, win 10 Rated Battlegrounds while wearing the challenge appearance, and defeat all Legion Dungeon Bosses while wearing the challenge appearance.
Avoid the Ice Ring
If your class encounter places you inside a ring of ice with falling comets, do not touch the ice wall itself — contact with the ice ring is fatal, not the comets.
