Overly Defensive
Defend 3 bases in a single Arathi Basin battle.
Overly Defensive requires you to defend 3 bases in a single Arathi Basin battle, which means recapping a flag that your faction owned but the enemy was in the process of converting — causing it to instantly flip back to your color.
Understand What Counts
A defend only registers when you retake a flag that was yours but is currently being converted by the enemy, causing it to instantly return to your faction. Neutral flags at the start of the match and fully enemy-owned flags do not count toward this achievement.
Use a Stealth Class
Rogues and Druids in stealth are the most effective classes for this achievement. Hide at a node such as the Lumber Mill, let the enemy cap it, then burst them down or Sap the capper and immediately start recapping. If a second enemy appears while capping, use Blind to reset and resume the cap.
Let Enemies Begin Capping
Hide inside a node like the Goldmine and wait roughly 20 seconds after the enemy begins capping. Large enemy groups often mount up and leave after securing the flag, leaving only one or two defenders behind, which makes it easier to eliminate them and recap.
Repeat Across Multiple Games
This achievement typically requires multiple Arathi Basin matches. Getting 3 defends in a single game is difficult and may take several attempts across different games before all 3 register in one match.
Tips
This achievement cannot be completed in Comp Stomp — it requires a standard Arathi Basin match against real players.
