Complete Black Rook Rumble 20 times.

Off the Top Rook requires completing the Black Rook Rumble world PvP quest in Val'sharah 20 times.

1

Learn the Rotation Schedule

Black Rook Rumble follows a fixed 3-day rotation and appears at either 0900 or 1500 each day — never at 2100 or 0300. On Day 1 it appears at 0900, on Day 2 at 1500, and on Day 3 it does not appear as the first or second slot, so tracking the cycle lets you know exactly when to log in.

2

Use Order Hall Advancement

If you play a Death Knight, Demon Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Warlock, or Warrior, the Tier 5 order hall advancement at level 110 lets you complete a world quest — including Black Rook Rumble — every 18 hours without manually doing the PvP quest yourself, significantly reducing the number of days needed to reach 20 completions.

3

Complete Black Rook Rumble 20 Times

Repeat Black Rook Rumble across its daily appearances until you reach 20 total completions. Because it only appears during morning hours (0900 or 1500 server time), plan your sessions around those windows. Note that the verified waypoints in this guide point to at 37, 16 in Stormheim and at 38, 45 in Highmountain, which are locations for the other associated PvP world quests (Saddle Sore and The Darkbrul-oh), not Black Rook Rumble itself in Val'sharah.

Tips

  • The 3-day rotation is fixed: BRR appears at 0900 on Day 1, 1500 on Day 2, and not at all as a solo appearance on Day 3, so you can predict exactly which days to log in at those times.

  • The Tier 5 order hall advancement for Death Knight, Demon Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Warlock, and Warrior completes a PvP world quest every 18 hours, letting you accumulate completions on days you cannot log in during the morning window.
