Scare Bear
Defeat Ursoc in The Emerald Nightmare while keeping Tur Ragepaw alive on Normal difficulty or higher.
Scare Bear is a 10-point achievement earned by defeating Ursoc in The Emerald Nightmare on Normal difficulty or higher while keeping Tur Ragepaw alive throughout the encounter.
Set Normal Difficulty
Enter The Emerald Nightmare raid and set the difficulty to Normal or higher before proceeding.
Clear Trash Near Ursoc
Kill the trash packs leading to Ursoc, then clear the 2-3 mobs between Ursoc and Tur Ragepaw.
Free Tur Ragepaw
Click on Tur Ragepaw to free him from his cage. Tur Ragepaw is located behind a trash pack in the Ursoc area of the raid.
Mount and Engage Ursoc
Immediately mount up after freeing Tur Ragepaw and ride to Ursoc to engage the fight. Tur will be locked out of the engagement area by a barrier, keeping him safely out of combat.
Defeat Ursoc
Kill Ursoc while Tur Ragepaw remains alive outside the barrier. The achievement will be awarded as soon as Ursoc dies.
Tips
If you wipe on Ursoc, Tur Ragepaw can be respawned by exiting and resetting the instance, though you will need to clear Ursoc's trash again.
As a BM Hunter, using Feign Death to reset Ursoc after Tur is locked out can cause Tur to no longer engage — however, the achievement has been awarded even when Tur is outside the engagement area and not actively in combat, so this is not a concern.
