Waiting for Gerdo
Disable each of the watchposts after Patrol Captain Gerdo signals them and then defeat him in Court of Stars on Mythic difficulty.
Waiting for Gerdo is a 10-point achievement earned by disabling all five Arcane Beacons after Patrol Captain Gerdo signals them, then defeating him in Court of Stars on Mythic difficulty.
Set Difficulty to Mythic
Enter Court of Stars on Mythic difficulty. The achievement does not credit on other difficulties.
Mark and Clear All Beacons
Before pulling Patrol Captain Gerdo, clear all trash around each of the five Arcane Beacons in the instance. Place raid markers on each beacon so they are easy to locate later. Do not interact with any beacon before the fight begins, or you will need to reset the instance.
Pull and Damage Gerdo
Engage Patrol Captain Gerdo and deal damage to him. Do not allow any Sentries to reach a beacon during this phase — kill them immediately if they appear.
Survive the Signal Beacon Cast
After roughly 10 seconds, Gerdo will cast Signal Beacon, spawning one add from each of the five beacons. The tank should use defensive cooldowns as the adds hit hard. Stun the adds when possible, and interrupt Gerdo's casts if able. Loosely stack the group so the tank can pick up all five adds as they run in, then burn them down with offensive cooldowns.
Deactivate All Five Beacons
Once the five adds are dead, send a DPS player to channel and deactivate each of the five Arcane Beacons throughout the instance before returning to the boss. All five must be deactivated before Gerdo dies. If soloing, run Gerdo back to his starting position after deactivating the last beacon to prevent him from evading.
Defeat Patrol Captain Gerdo
With all five beacons deactivated, finish killing Patrol Captain Gerdo to complete the achievement.
