Obtain one of the rare archaeological finds below.
Surveying the Land is a 10-point Legion archaeology achievement earned by completing any 1 of the 13 rare Legion archaeological finds.
Start a Rare Find Quest
Visit Dariness the Learned to pick up one of the rare find quests — for example, Bits and Pieces leads to the Crystalline Eye of Undravius, The Reliquary Calls leads to 
Starlight Beacon, or Worth Its Weight leads to 
Crown Jewels of Suramar. Completing any single one of these quests and obtaining the associated rare find will grant the achievement.
Check Your Rotation Progress
The 13 rare finds rotate on a two-week cycle beginning August 31, 2016, meaning only certain finds are available at a given time — use the in-game macro provided in the achievement notes to see which criteria are currently available and which you have already completed.
Note Container Loot Timing
The rare item inside a reward container such as Corrupted Studies is determined the moment you receive the container, not when you open it, so the achievement may trigger before you open the cache.
Tips
A new Legion glove enchant crafted by Enchanters increases survey speed, which can speed up dig site completion.
Each rare find is tied to a specific introductory quest from Dariness the Learned — accepting and completing that quest is required to unlock the corresponding rare solve.
