Hidden Potential
Locate and unlock a hidden appearance for your artifact.
Hidden Potential is a 10-point achievement earned by locating and using a class-specific hidden item to unlock a secret artifact appearance for your specialization.
Identify Your Spec's Item
Each specialization has a unique item that unlocks its hidden artifact appearance. Find your spec in the list below and follow the corresponding step.
Hunter: Beast Mastery
Designs of the Grand Architect is sold by Hobart Grapplehammer in Dalaran for 
8,000 gold.
Hunter: Marksmanship
Syriel Crescentfall's Notes: Ravenguard is obtained from Veridis Fallon, requiring Revered reputation.
Hunter: Survival
Last Breath of the Forest drops from Ursoc in The Emerald Nightmare. Enter the raid and defeat Ursoc to obtain it.
Death Knight: Unholy
The Bonereaper's Hook is the hidden appearance item for Unholy Death Knights.
Death Knight: Frost
Runes of the Darkening is the hidden appearance item for Frost Death Knights.
Death Knight: Blood
Twisting Anima of Souls is obtained through the Withered Army Training Scenario for Blood Death Knights.
Demon Hunter: Havoc

The Sunbloom is the hidden appearance item for Balance Druids; one part is sold at Exalted reputation.
Druid: Feral
Feather of the Moonspirit is obtained in the Emerald Dreamway — listen for an emote near the portal to trigger it.
Use Your Item to Unlock
Once you have your spec's hidden item, use it directly from your inventory to unlock the hidden artifact appearance and earn the Hidden Potential achievement.
Tips
You can transmog your artifact weapon while a hidden appearance is active and still receive credit toward unlocking additional color variants of that hidden appearance.
After unlocking a hidden appearance, you can earn up to 3 additional color variants by completing 100 Legion dungeons, 200 world quests, and 1,000 player kills with the hidden appearance active or transmogged over your weapon.
