Stay Salty
Defeat Lady Hatecoil after destroying 11 or more Saltsea Globules with a single Curse of the Witch in Eye of Azshara on Mythic difficulty.
Stay Salty requires you to defeat Lady Hatecoil after destroying 11 or more Saltsea Globules with a single Curse of the Witch cast, in Eye of Azshara on Mythic difficulty.
Enter on Mythic Difficulty
Set Eye of Azshara to Mythic difficulty before entering. Enable Enemy Nameplates so you can see and count the Saltsea Globules as they spawn.
Skip to Lady Hatecoil
Do not waste time on the small neutral mobs before Lady Hatecoil — they are not needed for this achievement. You do need to clear the two Hatecoil Arcanists on the path from the first boss before Lady Hatecoil becomes available.
Mount Up and Engage
Mount up and walk into Lady Hatecoil to begin the encounter without dealing damage. You can remain mounted for most of the fight while kiting her around the arena perimeter.
Let 11+ Globules Spawn
Lady Hatecoil spawns Saltsea Globules via Beckon Storm, and this process takes 5 or more minutes. Keep doing circles around the arena and use the following macro to count how many Globules are up — subtract 1 from the result because the boss herself also counts: /run local count = 0 for i = 0, 10000, 1 do if _G["NamePlate"..i] ~= nil and _G["NamePlate"..i]:IsVisible() then count = count + 1 end end print(count)
Kill All Globules with Curse
Once 11 or more Saltsea Globules are up, keep Curse of the Witch away from the Globules until you are ready to pop it. When the debuff is about to expire, walk backwards so all the Globules line up in front of you in a straight line rather than surrounding you — this ensures the cone damage from Curse of the Witch hits all of them at once. Note that at higher levels Lady Hatecoil may miss with Curse of the Witch, so you may need to wait through additional casts.
Tips
At level 70 or higher you can tank all of Lady Hatecoil's damage without healing, making this straightforward to solo.
Walking backwards when Curse of the Witch is about to expire keeps the Globules in a straight line in front of you; standing still lets them spread around you and the cone can miss some.
