Ruin Hallow's End for the Horde and foil their attempts to wreck the Alliance celebration by completing the following quests.

Rotten Hallow is a 10-point Hallow's End achievement earned by completing four quests that defend the Alliance celebration and sabotage the Horde during the holiday event.

Find the Quest Givers

All four quest NPCs are located outside the gates of Stormwind in Elwynn Forest. Pick up all available quests from Gretchen Fenlow before proceeding.

Complete Stink Bombs Away!

Pick up Stink Bombs Away! from Gretchen Fenlow at 32, 50 in Elwynn Forest, then speak with Gertrude Fenlow to board a broom that transports you to Undercity. Once there, use your action button to drop 25 stink bombs, then return to Gretchen Fenlow to turn in the quest.

Complete Clean Up in Stormwind

Pick up Clean Up in Stormwind from Gretchen Fenlow at 32, 50 in Elwynn Forest — this quest is completed entirely within Stormwind and requires no additional travel.

Complete A Time to Gain

This quest is also completed in Stormwind and can be done at the same time as Clean Up in Stormwind, making both straightforward to finish back to back.

Complete A Time to Lose

A Time to Lose requires traveling to Undercity, which involves a long flight path. To speed this up, take the zeppelin in Grom'gol — if you have a flying mount, land on top of the balloon to avoid aggroing the zeppelin guards.

Tips

  • If you log out while riding the broom during Stink Bombs Away!, you will be ported to the graveyard near Scarlet Monastery, which can serve as a faster route for completing A Time to Lose afterward.

  • The Grom'gol zeppelin also routes toward Durotar, making it convenient if you need to find Horde players for the Check Your Head quest in the same trip.
