Complete three of the Rare Naval Missions listed below.
Charting a Course is a 10-point achievement earned by completing three Rare Naval Missions from the Garrison Shipyard, rewarding the Fleet Commander's Hat appearance.
Run Rare Naval Missions
Access your Garrison Shipyard and complete Rare Naval Missions as they appear. These missions are uncommon, but a hotfix applied November 30, 2015 increased how frequently they show up.
Track Account-Wide Credit
Most missions in this achievement grant account-wide credit when completed on any one character, so completing a qualifying mission on one character counts toward the achievement on your others. Black Market Journal and Orphaned Aquatic Animal Rescue are exceptions and do not grant account-wide credit.
Claim the Hat on Alts
Once the account-wide criteria are met, all characters that have fulfilled those criteria will receive the Fleet Commander's Hat. Characters who completed only the non-account-wide missions will receive the hat only on that specific character.
Tips
Completing three qualifying missions across multiple characters is possible since most missions share progress account-wide, reducing the total number of rare missions any single character needs to complete.
