Can I Keep Him? is the first achievement in an 8-part pet collection chain, requiring you to obtain just 1 noncombat pet.
Obtain One Noncombat Pet
Obtain any single noncombat pet — the easiest method is to start a character, open the mailbox, retrieve the pet sent by Breanni, and right-click it to learn it and unlock the achievement.
Tips
Noncombat pets can be obtained from vendors, holiday events, rare drops, and the WoW Trading Card Game — visit WarcraftPets.com for a full list of sources. If you already had pets before the achievement system launched, the achievement is granted retroactively.
The Core Hound Pup is also available as a pet reward for attaching a Battle.net Authenticator to your account.
