Kill 50 enemy players in any of your home cities.

City Defender requires you to kill 50 enemy players inside any of your faction's home cities, earning 10 achievement points upon completion.

1

Deal Damage to Enemies

You must deal at least some damage to an enemy player for the kill to count toward the achievement. If you are in a party or raid and a group member lands the killing blow, you receive credit even if you dealt no damage yourself.

2

Stay Inside Your City

You must be physically inside your home city when the kill occurs. Killing an enemy outside the city walls grants no credit, even if the target is inside the city boundary.

3

Any Enemy Level Counts

Enemy players of any level count toward this achievement — you do not need an honorable kill, and you do not need to land the killing blow as long as you dealt damage or are grouped with the killer.

4

Farm During Midsummer Fire Festival

Midsummer Fire Festival is a strong opportunity for this achievement, as enemy players frequently enter cities to interact with the city flame. Positioning yourself near the Orgrimmar flame and applying damage as enemies arrive can fill the 50-kill requirement quickly.

5

Coordinate a Defensive Raid

Organizing a defensive raid in a city such as Silvermoon — for example, positioning behind Lor'themar Theron on the balcony — allows multiple players to contribute damage to incoming attackers, accelerating progress for everyone in the group.

Tips

  • If enemy players are raiding a city boss such as Thrall in Orgrimmar, tracking their next target and pre-positioning a raid there can result in a large number of kills in a single defense.
