Turning the Tide
Kill 10 Hellfire Guardians, then defeat the Iron Reaver in Hellfire Citadel on Normal difficulty or higher.
Turning the Tide requires you to kill 10 Hellfire Guardians by using the Iron Reaver's Barrage ability against them, then defeat the Iron Reaver in Hellfire Citadel on Normal difficulty or higher.
Set Difficulty to Normal
Enter Hellfire Citadel on Normal difficulty or higher. The Iron Reaver is the first boss encounter.
Locate the Hellfire Guardians
When you engage the Iron Reaver, 10 Hellfire Guardians will spawn — 5 on the northern wall platform and 5 on the southern wall platform. They cannot be targeted or damaged directly.
Position Boss at Northern Wall
Move the Iron Reaver close to the northern wall where the 5 Hellfire Guardians are standing. Stack up between the boss and the wall so that when the boss channels Barrage, it fires toward the guardians on top of the wall, killing all 5 in one cast.
Move Out During Barrage
Once the Iron Reaver begins channeling Barrage, move out of the path of the Barrage — the damage from the Barrage is what kills the Hellfire Guardians on the wall, so positioning before the channel begins is critical.
Repeat at Southern Wall
After clearing the 5 guardians on the northern wall, move the Iron Reaver to the southern wall and repeat the same positioning process to kill the remaining 5 Hellfire Guardians.
Defeat the Iron Reaver
Once all 10 Hellfire Guardians are dead and the achievement progress completes, kill the Iron Reaver to finish the encounter.
Tips
Remove any gear that procs damage before the fight — an unintended damage proc can kill the Iron Reaver before all 10 Hellfire Guardians are dead, forcing a reset.
